Diversity and inclusion is about creating workplaces where everyone can thrive. That requires both big-picture thinking and targeted action to make sure no-one is left behind.

We understand that diversity and inclusion need to be part of our overall strategy and closely aligned with business objectives. Our own Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan is our internal roadmap to support our employees. 

As an employer, we actively seek to ensure that our workforce reflects the communities we serve, recognising that this makes us better able to understand their needs and priorities. 

We can only do this by ensuring that the people who work for us can thrive irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

We are also increasingly recognising the importance of socio-economic diversity and inclusion in our workforce.

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP), which sets out our renewed commitment to creating a more diverse, inclusive and supportive workplace.

The new plan builds on the progress we’ve already made and reflects feedback from colleagues across the organisation. It sets out priorities and practical steps we’ll be taking over the short, medium and long term.

The DIAP meets the standards of our own Code for Sports Governance and our Public Sector Equality Duties, which require us to publish our Equality Objectives and report on progress.

The plan is focused on the delivery of four Equality Objectives we've identified as priorities, and you can read more details on these objectives within the plan itself.
